The challenge

  • Field engineers on remote solar parks had no reliable connectivity, so progress reports arrived days late by phone and spreadsheet.
  • Thousands of contractors needed attendance and time tracking that could not be gamed.
  • The central ERP needed site truth daily to drive billing and material planning.
02 · Method

Our approach

  • Shadowed site engineers for a week to understand the real reporting rhythm and the dead zones.
  • Designed the local data model and sync protocol first, including conflict rules for concurrent edits.
  • Shipped a single React Native codebase to Android and iOS with staged rollouts per site.
03 · Solution

What we built

  • A React Native app with WatermelonDB for local storage and a sync engine with conflict resolution.
  • Geofenced attendance and time tracking for contractors with daily consolidated reports.
  • Block, string and table-level progress capture with photo evidence and offline queues.
  • A Laravel API feeding the central ERP for inventory, billing milestones and management dashboards.
